About Me
As I approach my senior year of college, I decided it was about time I created a website based around the content I have been passionate about for so many years. To get to know me a bit, my name is Emileah Vaughn Crawford, but most of my family and friends know me as Leah. I decided that using my full name when branding myself would be the most professional. I am 21 years old and from the area of Vancouver, Washington, where I was born and grew up my whole life. My interests in photography, graphic design and social media were established at a young age and those passions lead me to my major in Mass Communications. I originally attended a college right outside of Portland, Oregon, called Linfield College, where I joined a sorority and began my journey into veganism. This was an incredibly important semester in my life. I began questioning my health, my awareness of nutrition and general happiness. Linfield was an incredible for its academics, campus and my opportunity to join a sorority and life-long sisterhood. But the ocean was calling my name. After only a single semester at Linfield, I decided to transfer to Hawaii Pacific University, to pursue this calling my soul was whispering to me. Being half Hawaiian, I felt drawn to the islands to better discover my roots. As I begin to think about my final year in college, my values and dreams seem to solidify, manifest themselves and become even more concrete. In June 2017 I discovered the yoga studio Corepower, where I developed several close relationships with instructors and other empowered women flowing around me. Practicing at least 4 times a week, I found the healthiest stress reliever and creative expression. Spiritual texts by Wayne Dyer and the Four Commandments fell into my lap and enveloped my ways of thinking. This combination inspired me to study abroad my final semester of HPU and join the Peace Corps after college.
